New Dometic Replacement Cooling Units

New Dometic Replacement Cooling Units

There are a lot of reasons you may need to replace your rv refrigerator, but one of the most common is that it has stopped working. This can be a big expense and an inconvenience for your camping trips, so you want to make sure the RV refrigerator you buy will last.

If you’re not sure which model to choose, here are a few options:

A Dometic Compact Refrigerator
This is the most popular option for smaller RVs, and it’s available in a variety of models. It’s designed for installation under a settee or berth, in a locker or cabinet, or in other convenient locations. It’s powered by gas absorption and uses a low-wattage circulating pump to keep your food cold.

A Dometic TurboVap Evaporator

These units use R-410A refrigerant to deliver maximum cooling efficiency and a quieter operation. They feature large drain connections, a low-profile design and vibration-isolating mounts. They’re also rust-free and easy to install.

A Dometic Cuddy II Air Conditioner

This self-contained 12V air conditioning system is ideal for sailboats and powerboats. It offers 3,500 BTUs and can be operated directly from batteries or dockside with a suitable battery charger.

A Dometic Turbo Global Unit (DTG)

This is the replacement for the DTU series, and it offers high-performance cooling. It’s a fully enclosed unit that has a titanium condenser and a choice of two control systems. The standard Digital Diagnostic Control provides simple, single-stage operation, while the Tempered Water Logic Control has a LCD screen for multiplexed systems.

The DTU also offers a unique, self-sealing valve coupling that allows for the rapid and easy removal of the condensate water. Rust-free molded composite drain pans are available to reduce scrubbing and cleaning time.

A Dometic Emerald Condensing Unit

These r-410a refrigerant-powered evaporator/condenser systems are available in a wide range of models and BTU sizes, and they feature an innovative compact design. The Emerald units have a low-profile design with built-in vibration-isolating mounts, large drain connections and many mounting options to fit in most confined spaces.

A Dometic Compact Chiller

This high-performance reversing-cycle chiller is available in several models. It’s a great way to add air conditioning to your boat in small spaces and has a choice of two control systems, either the standard Digital Diagnostic Control or the Tempered Water Logic Control with a LCD screen for multiplexed system.

A Dometic TWCX Reverse-Cycle Chiller

This reversing-cycle chiller is an excellent choice for larger boats in the 45-70 ft/15-20 m range. Its titanium condensers offer superior heat rejection and energy efficiency, and it comes in two control systems: the standard Digital Diagnostic Control and the Tempered Water Logic Control with programmable presets for more precise capacity requirements.

A Dometic DTU6 Refrigerant-Powered Air Conditioner

The DTU series is a versatile and highly efficient self-contained air conditioning unit that’s designed for installation under a berth, in a locker or a cabinet, or elsewhere on your vessel. It’s powered by gas absorption and uses fewer amps than most compressor units. The DTU also has a low-profile design and a unique, self-sealing vent coupling that allows for the rapid and easy withdrawal of the condensate water.
