(There are two types of machines, namely: EPS Cold Compactor and Heat Melt Foam Densifier.) It is ‘Expended’ Polystyrene, which has been made from ‘Expendable’ Polystyrene in three intense stages.
In the first stage, the raw material is sent under heat in pre-expenders, after which it is sent for cooling, and finally for expansion and molding.
Impact of EPS on environment
As mentioned earlier, it is a recyclable material. EPS is 100% recyclable, actually! Its manufacturing and manufacturing processes do not consume much energy or fuel. It is really a great respite for the available natural resources.
