Buchhaltung – How to Keep Track of Your Financials With Minimal Effort
Buchhaltung ([‘bu:kh,haltUNG], German book keeping) is a Haskell command line tool that helps you keep track of your financials with minimal effort. It provides tools for automatic import, deduplication and bayesian account matching as well as efficient manual entry of ledger transactions.
It uses a CSV file from an AqBanking, OFX or FinTS-compatible source for the raw transaction data and produces selfcontained transactions that can then be used to generate balance statements, reports, and a web interface without having to access the original source. The original data is then put in comments for later use in duplicates detection and account classification.
This software can be run from a command line, from a local file or even on the server side. Its primary goal is to make it easy to create a complete ledger of all your bank and savings accounts’, credit cards’ and other transactions, in a text-based format that can be read by the ledger CLI tool.
As the bookkeeping department is split into several tools, it makes sense to study each created Tool for its area and install any Add-Ins whose description is given within the single tool. Similarly, the logistics department will investigate all tools for its area and install any wanted or required Add-Ins.
